Marcelo Calero

Marcelo Calero Faria Garcia is a Brazilian diplomat and politician currently serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies. A career diplomat who graduated in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, he previously held significant roles including Minister of Culture under the Michel Temer administration and Secretary of Government and Public Integrity for the city of Rio de Janeiro. Known for his work in cultural policy and public administration, he is also recognized as one of the first openly LGBTQ individuals elected to the Brazilian Congress.
