Ronaldo Caiado is a Brazilian politician and physician who served as the Governor of Goiás from 2019 to 2026. Born in Anápolis, he is an orthopedic surgeon by training and comes from a prominent political family in the region. Before his governorship, he represented Goiás as a Senator and served multiple terms as a federal deputy. A right-wing politician, Caiado gained early national prominence as the chairman of the Rural Democratic Union in the late 1980s and has been a vocal critic of the Workers' Party government.
