Marcelo de Jesús Torres Cofiño is a Mexican politician and lawyer currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the 66th session of the Congress of the Union. A member of the National Action Party (PAN), he has held significant leadership roles, including serving as the national president of the party in 2018. Throughout his career, he has represented Coahuila in the federal legislature and served as a local deputy in the Congress of Coahuila, where he became the first opposition legislator to preside over the Government Board. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana Laguna and has previously served as a councilor for the municipality of Torreón.
