Marco Bucci

Marco Bucci is an Italian politician and former pharmaceutical manager who currently serves as the President of the Liguria region. Before his election to the regional presidency in 2024, he served as the mayor of Genoa from 2017 to 2024, where he gained recognition for his pragmatic management style and his role as the extraordinary commissioner for the reconstruction of the Morandi Bridge. A graduate in chemistry and pharmacy from the University of Genoa, Bucci spent decades in the private sector, including leadership roles at Kodak and Carestream Health, before entering politics as a center-right candidate.
