Marcos Barraza Gómez is a Chilean psychologist and politician affiliated with the Communist Party of Chile. He served as the Minister of Social Development from 2015 to 2018 during the second administration of President Michelle Bachelet, marking the first time a Communist Party member entered the Chilean cabinet since 1973. He later represented the 13th District of the Metropolitan Region as a member of the Constitutional Convention in 2021, where he coordinated the Ethics Committee.
