Marcus König

Marcus König is a German politician who has served as the Lord Mayor of Nuremberg since May 1, 2020. A member of the Christian Social Union (CSU), he previously served as a member of the Nuremberg City Council starting in 2008 and led the CSU faction in the council from 2017. Before his political career, König worked as a banker and financial manager at Dresdner Bank and Commerzbank. His political priorities include urban infrastructure development, such as the expansion of the Nuremberg U-Bahn network.
