Marek Benda is a Czech politician and the longest-serving member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. Born in 1968 to anti-communist dissident Václav Benda, he began his parliamentary career in 1990 as a co-founder of the Christian Democratic Party before joining the Civic Democratic Party (ODS). He has served in the Chamber of Deputies continuously since 2004, following an earlier tenure from 1990 to 2002, and has led the ODS parliamentary group since 2021.
