Maria Luisa Berti is a Sammarinese politician and lawyer who has twice served as Captain Regent, the head of state and government of San Marino. Born on October 6, 1971, in the City of San Marino, she studied law at the University of Urbino and began practicing as a lawyer and notary. A longtime parliamentarian in the Grand and General Council, she co-founded the We Sammarinese party and has held the Captain Regent office during the April–October 2011 and October 2022–April 2023 terms.
