Maria McCormack

Maria McCormack is an Irish Sinn Féin politician who has been serving as a senator for the Labour Panel in Seanad Éireann since January 2025. Hailing from Ballyroan and based in Portlaoise, she unsuccessfully contested a seat in the Laois County Council during the 2024 local elections and ran as her party's candidate for Laois in the 2024 general election. Following her election to the Seanad in 2025, she achieved distinction as the first female Laois senator in nearly three decades.
