Marie-Antoinette Maupertuis is a French politician and academic who serves as the President of the Corsican Assembly. An economist by training, she previously held a professorship at the University of Corsica and directed a research laboratory for the National Centre for Scientific Research. Since entering politics, she has held various executive roles within the Corsican government, including the presidency of the Corsica Tourism Agency and oversight of European affairs. She is a prominent figure within the autonomist movement and became the first woman to lead the Corsican Assembly in 2021.
