Marijke Synhaeve

Marijke Synhaeve is a Belgian-Dutch politician who served as a temporary member of the Dutch House of Representatives from December 2023 to March 2024, representing the Democrats 66 (D66) party. During her tenure, she acted as her party's spokesperson for various social policy areas, including long-term care, child protection, poverty, labor force participation, pensions, and benefits. She replaced Hanneke van der Werf during her maternity leave and has since been noted for her public advocacy regarding digital safety following her experience as a victim of deepfake content.
