Sir Mark Hendrick is a British Labour and Co-operative politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Preston since 2000. Of Anglo-Somali descent, he previously served as a Member of the European Parliament for Lancashire Central from 1994 to 1999 and as a councillor for the City of Salford. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held positions on various committees, including the Foreign Affairs Select Committee and the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee. He was knighted in 2018 for his political and parliamentary service.
