Mark Lofgren

Mark Lofgren is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Iowa Senate, representing the 46th district. He was first elected to the Senate in 2016 after defeating incumbent Democratic Senator Chris Brase. Prior to his tenure in the state senate, Lofgren served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. He also pursued a congressional bid for Iowa's 2nd district before returning to state-level legislative service. As a Republican legislator, he has been an active participant in Iowa state politics for over a decade.
