Mark Montigny

Mark Montigny is an American politician serving as a member of the Massachusetts Senate, representing the Second Bristol and Plymouth district since 1993. Known as the Dean of the Senate, he has held significant leadership roles, including chair of the Committee on Health Care and the Senate Committee on Post Audit and Oversight. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on public policy, including the successful sponsorship of animal rights legislation aimed at improving safety standards for animals in vehicles. Prior to his legislative career, he served as the vice chairman of the New Bedford City Democratic Committee.
