Markéta Vaňková

Markéta Vaňková is a Czech politician and lawyer who has served as the Mayor of Brno since 2018. A member of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), she previously served as a representative for the Brno-střed district and the South Moravian Region. Educated in law at Masaryk University, she practiced as an attorney before entering local politics. Throughout her tenure, she has focused on infrastructure projects, including the development of the Arena Brno, while facing various political controversies and investigations regarding municipal property management and conduct.
