Igor Hendrych

Igor Hendrych is a Czech politician and academic who has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic since 2021. Before entering national politics, he held various roles in local government, including serving as a deputy mayor of Opava and as a member of the Moravian-Silesian Regional Assembly. An expert in penology and social work, he previously worked for the Czech Prison Service and as an assistant professor at the Silesian University in Opava, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2017. His political career is focused on social policy and regional development.
