Markus Koza is an Austrian politician and trade union official serving as a member of the National Council since 2019. Born in Linz in 1970, he studied economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Before his parliamentary career, he was deeply involved in trade union activism, notably serving as the chairman of the Independent Trade Unionists (UG) within the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB). Within the Green parliamentary group, he focuses on labor and social affairs, having participated in coalition negotiations regarding social security and poverty reduction. He also serves as a district councilor in the Wieden district of Vienna.
