Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles within the party, including serving as the ÖVP parliamentary group leader in the Landtag from 2020 to 2025 and as the district party chairman for Neusiedl am See. In 2026, he was elected as the president of the Burgenland Association of Municipalities.
