Martin Ansbacher

Martin Ansbacher is a German politician and the current Lord Mayor of Ulm, having assumed office on March 1, 2024. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he previously served as a member of the Ulm City Council from 2014 to 2024, where he chaired the SPD parliamentary group. Before his election as mayor, Ansbacher worked as a lawyer specializing in tenancy, residential property, and banking law. He also held leadership roles in local organizations, including the presidency of the Turngau Ulm. Since July 2024, he has additionally served as the association chairman of the Donau-Iller Regional Association.
