Martina Šimkovičová

Martina Šimkovičová is a Slovak politician and former television presenter who has served as the Minister of Culture of Slovakia since October 2023. Before entering politics, she was a prominent television host for Markíza. Her political career includes serving as a Member of the National Council from 2016 to 2020. As Minister of Culture, she has faced significant public criticism and multiple motions of no confidence due to her controversial policies, including the dismissal of leadership at major cultural institutions and her public stances on LGBT rights and media regulation.
