Matúš Šutaj Eštok is a Slovak politician currently serving as the Minister of Interior of Slovakia since 2023. A law graduate from Comenius University, he previously worked as a lawyer and served as chairman of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. He was first elected to the National Council in 2020 as a member of the SMER-SD party before joining the Voice – Social Democracy party. As Interior Minister, he has faced political controversy regarding his restructuring of the police force and migration policies, though he successfully survived a vote of no confidence in the National Council.
