Robert Kaliňák is a Slovak politician currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Slovakia since October 2023. A prominent member of the Direction – Social Democracy party, he previously served as the Minister of the Interior from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2012 to 2018, becoming the longest-serving minister in modern Slovak history. Before his political career, he was a successful entrepreneur in the restaurant and publishing sectors.
