Dušan Galis

Dušan Galis is a Slovak politician and former professional football player and manager. Born on November 24, 1949, he enjoyed a distinguished athletic career, notably winning the 1976 UEFA European Football Championship with the Czechoslovakia national team. Following his retirement from sports, he transitioned into politics and has served as a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic since 2006, representing the SMER-Social Democracy party. Throughout his political career, he has also served as a member of the Bratislava Regional government and as the Government Commissioner for Youth and Sport.
