Mary Welander

Mary Welander is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives for the 114th district. First elected in November 2020 and assuming office in January 2021, she represents the communities of Derby, Orange, and Woodbridge. Prior to her legislative career, she served on the Orange Board of Education, where she held leadership roles on the Finance and Policy, Personnel, and Transportation subcommittees. In the state legislature, she serves as the vice chair of the House Children Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
