Masanao Ozaki

Masanao Ozaki is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Kochi City, he began his career at the Ministry of Finance and served as a diplomat in Indonesia before entering politics. He served as the Governor of Kochi Prefecture for three terms from 2007 to 2019, during which he was noted for his focus on regional revitalization. Following his transition to national politics, he has held several government positions, including Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Digital, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Reconstruction. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Kochi Prefectural Chapter and as Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary.
