Masayasu Yamasaki is a Japanese politician currently serving his third term as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, in 1971, he initially pursued a career in education, working as a junior high school teacher after graduating from Chukyo University and later completing graduate studies at Naruto University of Education. He entered politics in 2019, winning a seat in the Kochi Prefectural Assembly. In 2021, he was elected to the national Diet representing the Shikoku proportional block. Following his re-election in 2024, he secured a third term in 2026 as a candidate for the Centrist Reform Alliance, a political coalition formed by the Komeito party and the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
