Massimo Grillo

Massimo Grillo is an Italian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Marsala, having been elected in 2020. A long-time figure in Sicilian politics, he began his career in the 1980s as a member of the Christian Democracy party and served as a deputy in the Sicilian Regional Assembly. During his tenure as a regional assessor in the early 1990s, he was instrumental in passing legislation that introduced the direct election of mayors in Sicily. Grillo later served as a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies for two terms between 1996 and 2006. Throughout his career, he has been associated with various centrist and Christian democratic movements, consistently advocating for moral clarity and reform in public administration.
