Matias Toledo

Matías Toledo Herrera is a Chilean politician and activist currently serving as the Mayor of Puente Alto. Born in Peñalolén in 1989, he moved to Puente Alto in 1998 and later studied Public and Municipal Administration. Before his election, he was deeply involved in social work, co-founding the Shishigang Social Coordinator and leading the 'Recuperemos Puente Alto' movement. In 2024, he won the mayoral election as an independent candidate, ending over two decades of right-wing administration in Chile's most populous commune.
