Matt Hall

Matt Hall is an American politician and lawyer serving as the 79th Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives since January 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he has represented the 42nd district in the Michigan House of Representatives since 2019 and previously served as the House Minority Leader from 2023 to 2025. Throughout his legislative career, Hall has chaired committees on oversight, tax policy, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Before his election to the state legislature, he worked as a legislative intern, an external affairs representative for the Michigan Department of State, and a business development representative.
