Matthias Büger

Matthias Büger is a German politician and mathematician serving as a member of the Landtag of Hesse. A member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), he previously served in the state parliament from 2009 to 2014 and returned to the legislature in 2019. Before his full-time political career, he worked as a mathematician in the technology sector at Deutsche Bank. Within the FDP, he holds several leadership roles, including state treasurer for Hesse and district chair in the Lahn-Dill-Kreis, and he focuses his parliamentary work on higher education, research, and technology policy.
