Matthias Bauernfeind

Matthias Bauernfeind is a German politician and a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Since October 2025, he has served as the Lord Mayor (Oberbürgermeister) of the city of Bühl. Prior to his current role, he held the position of Mayor of Oberwolfach from 2015 to 2025. Bauernfeind holds a degree in public administration and previously worked in legal oversight for the Freiburg regional council and as a manager for church-affiliated kindergartens in Villingen.
