Mattias Bäckström Johansson

Mattias Bäckström Johansson is a Swedish politician who has served as a Member of the Riksdag since 2014. Representing the Sweden Democrats, he has held significant leadership roles within his party, including serving as Secretary-General since 2022 and previously as Deputy Leader in the Riksdag from 2019 to 2022. Before entering national politics, he worked as a reactor operator at the Oskarshamn Nuclear Power Plant and served on the municipal council for Oskarshamn. He currently sits on the Industry and Trade Committee and the Election Review Board.
