Matvii Bidnyi is a Ukrainian politician and sports administrator who has served as the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine since September 2024. Previously a professional bodybuilder and three-time Ukrainian champion, he transitioned into public service, holding various roles within the Ministry of Youth and Sports before his appointment as Deputy Minister in 2020. He is known for his firm stance against the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions during the ongoing war. In 2024, he was elected as the European representative to the Executive Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
