Maureen McCarville

Maureen McCarville is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 42nd district, having assumed office in January 2025. Born in Rockford, Illinois, she has long resided in DeForest, Wisconsin, where she previously served on the village board and the Police and Fire Commission. Before her election to the state legislature, she served on the Dane County Board of Supervisors from 2012 to 2026. Professionally, she has worked in the accounting department of Madison Gas and Electric. In her political career, McCarville has advocated for the expansion of abortion rights, the development of affordable housing, and the improvement of mass transit systems.
