Mauricio Rojas

Mauricio Rojas is a Chilean-Swedish politician and political economist who served as a member of the Swedish Riksdag between 2002 and 2006, and again briefly in 2008. Born in Santiago, Chile, he fled to Sweden in 1974 following the military coup. After an early period of socialist activism, he shifted toward liberalism and became a prominent academic and author, focusing on international economics and the Swedish welfare model. He later served as the Minister of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of Chile in 2018.
