Maurizio Lupi is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies and as the leader of the political party Noi Moderati. Born in Milan in 1959, he holds a degree in political science from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Lupi has had a long parliamentary career, having served as a deputy since 2001 and previously as Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies. He served as the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport from 2013 to 2015 under the Letta and Renzi cabinets. A member of the Catholic movement Communion and Liberation, Lupi is known for his center-right political stance and support for major infrastructure projects, including high-speed rail initiatives.
