Max Mackenzie Bannerman is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Highlands and Islands region since May 2026. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, he previously worked as a staff member for Conservative MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston and Lord Malcolm Offord. Before his election to the Scottish Parliament, Bannerman was active in local politics, having stood as a candidate for the Scottish Conservatives in the 2021 Inverness West by-election and the 2022 Highland Council election. He is also a director of Balintraid Strategy Limited and a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
