Helen McDade is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Mid Scotland and Fife region since May 2026. Before her election to the Scottish Parliament, she worked in the environmental charity sector and stood as a candidate for the Reform Party in the 2024 United Kingdom general election for the Perth and Kinross-shire constituency. In the 2026 Scottish Parliament election, she contested the Perthshire South and Kinross-shire constituency before securing her seat as a list MSP. She is the mother of Xander McDade, the Provost of Perth and Kinross Council.
