Maxim Ryzhenkov

Maxim Ryzhenkov is a Belarusian politician currently serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, a position he has held since 2024. Born in Minsk in 1972, he began his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994 and later held significant roles within the Presidential Administration, including serving as First Deputy Head. Throughout his career, he has been involved in sports administration, notably as the president of the Belarusian Basketball Federation since 2014. He holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and has been subject to international sanctions following the 2020 Belarusian presidential election.
