Maximilian Bathon is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Hesse. Born in Bonn in 1991, he completed his Abitur at the Max-Eyth-Schule in Kassel before training as a social security specialist. Prior to his political career, he held various roles at the Barmer health insurance company, including serving as a team leader in Kassel. In the 2023 Hessian state election, Bathon successfully won the Kassel-Stadt II constituency, a traditional stronghold for the SPD, and assumed his seat in the state parliament in January 2024.
