Turgut Yüksel

Turgut Yüksel is a German politician of Turkish-Alevite descent and a member of the Landtag of Hesse. Born in Pülümür, Turkey, he moved to Germany in 1978 and later studied sociology and economics at Goethe University Frankfurt. A long-time member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), Yüksel has served in various local and state political roles, including the Frankfurt City Council. His political work focuses on migration, integration, anti-discrimination, and social justice. He is a vocal advocate for democratic principles and has been actively involved in initiatives against right-wing extremism and racism in Germany.
