Md. Baharul Islam

Md. Baharul Islam is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly representing the Canning Purba constituency. Elected in 2026 as a candidate for the All India Trinamool Congress, he secured a significant victory by defeating his nearest rival from the All India Secular Front. Prior to his legislative career, he worked as a farmer and served as the chairman of the standing committee of the Zilla Parishad. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Bhangar Mahavidyalaya in 2007.
