Mechthild Weber is a German politician and a member of the Hamburg Parliament (Hamburgische Bürgerschaft), representing the Alstertal – Walddörfer constituency since May 2025. Born in 1960 in Essen, she pursued a diverse career as an opera and concert singer, a singing teacher, and a nurse, having worked at the Albertinenhaus from 1990 to 1996. Weber joined Alliance 90/The Greens in 2021 and has served as the district chair for the party in Wandsbek since 2024. She succeeded Maryam Blumenthal in the parliament following Blumenthal's appointment as a senator.
