Born in 1970 in Corum, he began his career in trade in 1983. He entered politics in 1999 with the Republican People's Party (CHP), where he held various local leadership roles, including serving as the Corum Provincial President starting in 2020. He was elected to parliament in the 2023 general elections and serves on the State Economic Enterprises Commission.
