Mel Arnold is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Kamloops—Shuswap—Central Rockies. First elected in 2015 to represent North Okanagan—Shuswap, he has been a consistent voice for his constituents in the House of Commons. Before entering federal politics, Arnold was deeply involved in environmental advocacy, serving on the Salmon Arm environmental advisory council and as president of both the BC Wildlife Federation and the Canadian Wildlife Federation. In the 45th Canadian Parliament, he was appointed vice chair of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans.
