Before her legislative career, Dixon founded Blue Advantage Partners, a political consulting and fundraising firm based in New Mexico. She also gained professional experience working as an aide for Senator Tom Udall and State House Speaker Brian Egolf. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chatham University and a Master of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh.
