Merja Rasinkangas is a Finnish politician serving as a Member of the Parliament of Finland since 2024. Before entering national politics, she had a long career as a police officer, serving for 36 years and reaching the rank of senior constable. She also serves as a city councilor in Oulu. Rasinkangas was originally elected as a substitute member of parliament in the 2023 elections and assumed her seat in 2024 following the election of Sebastian Tynkkynen to the European Parliament.
