Mette Frederiksen

Mette Frederiksen is a Danish politician serving as the Prime Minister of Denmark since 2019 and as the leader of the Social Democrats since 2015. She is the youngest person to hold the office of Prime Minister in Danish history. Before entering politics, she worked as a trade unionist. Throughout her career, she has held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Employment and Minister of Justice. Her administration has focused on welfare reforms, climate policy, and a hawkish stance on national security and defense, particularly following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
