Mogens Jensen

Mogens Jensen is a Danish politician and a long-serving member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats. First elected in 2005, he has held several high-profile government positions, including Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation from 2013 to 2014, and Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Minister for Gender Equality, and Minister for Nordic Cooperation from 2019 to 2020. His ministerial tenure ended following the controversy surrounding the culling of the Danish mink population during the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout his career, he has been an advocate for international development and human rights, notably leading Denmark's decision to divert aid from Uganda in response to anti-homosexuality legislation in 2014.
