Alex Vanopslagh

Alex Vanopslagh is a French-born Danish politician serving as a member of the Folketing and as the leader of the Liberal Alliance. Born in Épernay, France, he moved to Denmark at a young age and later pursued studies in political science at the University of Southern Denmark and the University of Copenhagen. After leading the Liberal Alliance Youth, he was elected to the Copenhagen Municipal Council in 2017 and subsequently to the national parliament in 2019. Known for his effective use of social media to engage younger voters, he has been a vocal critic of the government led by Mette Frederiksen, focusing his political platform on institutional reform and economic liberalism.
